The Ghost RC 1408 7000Kv Sensored Drag Motor is designed specifically for high-performance 1/10 No Prep drag racing. Based on Castle Creations' proven 4-pole sensored motor design, it is designed and manufactured by Castle to Ghost RC's requirements for the extreme demands of RC drag racing.
This motor delivers more torque and RPM than Ghost RC's previous 6000Kv drag motor series. Its adjustable rear endbell allows racers to tune motor timing, while the stainless-wrapped rotor, replaceable 8-gauge wires, and 5mm shaft are built for demanding drag-racing setups.
Based on Ghost RC's direct recommendation, the 1408 7000Kv is the preferred option for dedicated 1/10 No Prep drag racing. For sand drag, heavier drag vehicles, speed-run builds, and other applications, Ghost RC recommends the 1412 4300Kv motor.

Recommended ESC: Ghost RC Cobra 8 ACE No Prep Drag ESC
For sand drag racing, heavier drag vehicles, speed-run builds, and other applications outside dedicated No Prep racing, the 1412 4300Kv motor is recommended.
RECOMMENDED 2S SETUP
- Final Drive Ratio: 9.5–11.0
- Recommended endbell timing: 9°–18°, set using a motor analyzer
These recommendations are provided for optimal 2S performance. Final gearing and timing must still be selected carefully based on vehicle weight, track conditions, tire size, ESC settings, motor temperature, and the complete power system.

WATER-RESISTANCE INFORMATION
The motor's sensor board is coated with silicone conformal coating to help protect the sensors from moisture. However, the sensor-wire connections are not water-resistant. Water entering the connections can interrupt the sensor signal and result in the loss of sensored operation.
We recommend applying dielectric grease around the outside of the sensor-wire connections after installing the sensor wire. Routine maintenance is recommended after operating the motor in wet conditions.
