5MM bore with extremely tight manufacturing tolerances ensures your gears are centered and not vibrating resulting in loss of performance and damage to your bearings.
2 X M5 set screws (2.5MM Hex Drive) are pre loctited to support you on the go!
0.5MM "Lip" at the back side of the gear allows for safe installation right next to the bearing and eliminating the need for a special spacer.

besides the set screw being a m4 2.0 hex and not the m5 2.5 hex driver it's perfect I got the 42 and the 40t

Unfortunately, the M4 set screw is the biggest size you can fit in the 5MM bore gears base.
In the 8MM bore gears, there is enough room at the base to support the M5.

It depends on the size of your motor and spool shafts.

Can these gears be used for both pinion and spur?
Yes, but only if your car has a 5mm spool shaft.
For the mod 1 25 tooth pinion what is the measurement from the center lip diameter? It's so I can fit inside the motor mount.
The overall outer diameter of a 25 tooth MOD 1 gear is 26.85mm.
So will the 50 tooth 5mm bore work on my stock x Max for a spur gear?
No, the Xmaxx uses a spur gear that is bolted with three screws from the front face of the gear
