Keep your wires neat!

Experienced modelers spend a lot of time securing their servo and throttle leads, and many find that unplugging a Castle controller from the receiver disrupts all of that work. This is why many have asked for something like a Y-connector that leaves an open lead for easy Castle Linking. The problem is that a traditional Y harness cannot be used when the other branch is still connected to a receiver, because the signal line must be disconnected from the receiver for Castle Link to work.

Quick Connect solves this issue by detecting when a Castle Link adapter is plugged into the free lead. When it senses the adapter, it automatically switches the controller’s signal line from the receiver to the Castle Link.

The Quick Connect is recommended for these ESCs:

Surface: Sidewinder v1, v2, v3, Sidewinder SCT, SW4, Sidewinder Micro, Sidewinder Micro 2, Mamba Micro Pro, Mamba Max, Mamba Max Pro, Mamba Monster, Mamba Monster 2.

Air: Phoenix ICE, Phoenix ICE HV, Thunderbird series, Talon 15, Talon 25, Talon 35, Talon 60, Talon 90, Phoenix HV.

Note: If you have a Castle ESC with dual BEC wires (such as the Mamba XLX or Talon HV 120), or if your setup requires more than 6 amps from the BEC, you must use the Quick Connect Duo.

Note: Neither Quick Connect nor Quick Connect Duo will work with Field Programming Cards used as standalone programmers. They only work when the Field Programming Card is being used as a Castle Link adapter.

Tech Tip: Quick Connect works with the B-Link Bluetooth adapter. The connection order should be:
ESC → Quick Connect → B-Link → Receiver
